High-density Polyethylene

HDPE (high-density polyethylene) is a solid, strong plastic that can be easily molded and transformed into just about any shape or design, making it the product of choice in the industrial & engineering fields.

HDPE meets food contact legislation, making it the ideal material for food packaging applications. Not only does HDPE feature a high chemical and impact resistance, but it also is resistant to rotting, insects, mildew and mould.

Ideal for plastic and extrusion welding as well as vacuum forming and profile cutting.

Maximum working temperature continuous: 80 deg C
Heat distortion temperature: 65 deg C
Softening point: 127 deg C
Vacuum forming temperature: 150 deg C
Mould shrinkage: 5 – 3.5 %
Specific Gravity: 0.963
Impact Strength: no break (Charpy unnotched Kj.m-2)
